Founded in 2004, the IIM is a scientific association bringing together investigators at universities and research centers in Italy and abroad.
The IIM mission is to promote interdisciplinary collaborations to understand normal and pathological aspects of muscle development, activity and repair, as well as interactions between researchers, clinicians and patient associations for the development of therapeutic treatments for neuromuscular diseases.
Special attention is paid to young fellows training and the promotion of international scientific exchanges.
Dear colleagues and friends of the IIM,
We are pleased to inform you that the Special Issue “Muscle in Motion: Integrating Mechanisms, Models and Functions”, managed by Cesare Gargioli, Clara De Palma, and Emanuele Mocciaro, has been launched as part of an agreement between the IIM and Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology.
The Research Topic aims to bring together current perspectives and recent advances in the mechanisms, experimental models, and functional aspects that shape our understanding of muscle biology today.
A free e-book collecting all contributions will be generated if at least nine articles are accepted within the Research Topic.
